January 2026 Week 1

Hello & Happy New Year Roomie!!!!!

We’re excited to kick off January with the topic of miniature making!

This month, we’re welcoming Jeri Yingling, a fellow clinician who creates her own resin miniatures for use in her private practice and with clients in the sandtray.

Her credentials include LPC, RPT-S, and ACS. Jeri owns not one, but several group practices throughout Colorado! Her clinical work focuses on 2-12-year-olds in play-focused EMDR, Animal Assisted Play Therapy, and Sandtray Therapy.

In addition to her various clinical &  supervisory roles, she also runs a resin crafting business that pairs beautifully with her work! She creates therapeutic tools such as miniatures & grounding objects, blending artistry with intention to support clients.

Her process and creations remind us that how a miniature is made can be just as meaningful as how it’s used.

All of the photos attached above are Jeri’s creations! Isn’t she so talented?!

At your convenience, watch our mini training video (FYI: The recording didn’t process the visuals properly, so this one is mainly audio that you can just listen to!) and check out Jeri’s website!

I’m very excited to share all her resources with you this month; even if making resin minis isn’t for everyone, it’s so cool to learn about and consider it as an amazing opportunity!

With all that said, we’re so glad you’re here as we begin this month together.

Until next week,

Amy & the SSI Team

P.S. Here’s the direct link to Jeri’s resin miniature shop if you’d like to check out her super cool pieces!
